MAKING RECOVERY REAL IN DUNDEE
Local MSP for Dundee City East, Shona Robison, attended the premiere of the Making Recovery Real film at the Dundee Centre for Contemporary Arts.
The Making Recovery Real film premiere showcased the powerful showcased the powerful and moving stories of 18 local people who have lived experience of mental health difficulties, sharing their personal stories of recovery.
As well as speaking at the event, which was organised by Dundee Voluntary Action and the Scottish Recovery Network, Shona presented certificates to 15 successful graduates of the Peer 2 Peer vocational training course.
Shona Robison is now promoting the film locally to help raise awareness of local peer support and recovery in Dundee.
Commenting, Shona said: "It was an incredibly powerful and moving event. I commend all of the participants who took part in the film for their bravery."
