Local MSP for Dundee City East, Shona Robison, visited the Dundee Museum of Transport following it's formal accreditation as a museum.
Situated on Market Street, the Dundee Museum of Transport houses a number of historic transport exhibits, including vintage buses and cars that have been used throughout Dundee's history. The museum first opened in 2014 and aims to tell the story of Dundee's transport history.
Dundee Museum of Transport has also recently started work on restoring the Maryfield Tram Depot as it's permanent home.
Ms Robison visited to congratulate the team and learn about the work involved in the museum accreditation process.
Commenting, Ms Robison said:
"The hard work has certainly paid off and they're now an accredited museum. It is incredible that this has been achieved with only one paid member of staff and the rest being volunteers."
"It's an honour to support this important asset in my constituency, and I wish them all of the best for the future."
