Shona Robison MSP visited Glenlaw House today and handed over a cheque for £314.11 which was raised at the coffee morning she recently held in aid of the Glenlaw House Parents and Carers Group.
Commenting after the visit, Shona Robison MSP said:
“The facilities at Glenlaw House are very impressive. Seeing all of the specialised equipment and speaking to the staff about the information they need to know about each child who uses the respite facility, shows the level of expertise that this vital resource requires.
“I am delighted that the coffee morning I hosted managed to raise over £300 for the parent and carers group, which will allow them to buy additional resources for the facility to ensure all the children using it have the best possible experience.”
Allan Petrie, Chair or the Parent and Carer Group, added:
"The parents and carers of Glenlaw House would like to thank Shona Robison MSP, her staff, the Brooksbank Centre and everyone who came and supported us at the coffee morning in October.
“The money raised will be put to good use to ensure our children can enjoy their time at Glenlaw House even more. It was great to see so many people in attendance helping to promote the great work the staff at Glenlaw do for our children and us as carers.
“It is important that Glenlaw is given the prominence within our community it deserves."
